7/31

This was our first day back in Sao Paolo after our vacation within a vacation. Our day began with breakfast and then a guest lecture from Mariana Spignardi, who was super interesting to listen to. She began her career as an architect, before moving into construction, and is now a sustainability consultant in construction and other industries as well. Her focus in both architecture and construction was sustainability/LEED-based, and the biggest project that she managed was the Olympic Village for the 2016 Rio Olympics. Super cool to hear from her. After our guest lecture, we got some lunch and then headed home to make some progress on our projects. I was locked out of my room because my roommate had the key, so Marco and I tried to break in.

Luckily I had all my school stuff so I was able to work. We buzzed until 5:00, after which we got ready for karaoke. I had a hell of a time. From there, we met up with the other dialogue at their bougee hostel and hung out there for a little while before hitting a bar. We got in line, and it was not moving so we cut out losses and headed home.
