Welcome back to another entry to the Brent Bible! We had a great night last night – we began our night at a bar at the end of our street called Vila. From there, we went to another bar down the street called Alto, which had a great vibe. There was a room with a DJ and a rooftop bar with a nice view. After the bar, Conne, Caelyn, Zaen and I went to a smash burger joint to grab some late-night food.
This morning, we went to a produce market and then a flea market/fair. The produce market was cool – I got some strawberries that
were pretty amazing. At the fair, Mateo and I spent some time walking around at
the various tables. There was a wide variety of things being sold – everything from
guitars to vinyl, to traditional Japanese masks.
At the fair, I tried some pure sugar cane juice and a Pastel with meat and cheese inside. Both were unreal.
After that, I played Brenden in
chess and unfortunately lost. He’s a good player. Then we went to the famous
Beco de Batman – Batman’s Alley. Super cool area – lots of street art and
little shops. Zaen and I grabbed a local IPA and pilsner. From there, we headed
back to the Hostel and took our first quiz.
After that wrapped up, we went to the grocery store to grab drinks, food, and other items for tonight. When
we got back, I made a quick dinner and decided to write this post. Tonight, we
will be heading out to a local sports bar to watch Brazil and Uruguay in the
quarters of the Copa. After that, we will hit the bars again and have another
good night. Tap in tomorrow for another update!
Great day!
