 Welcome back to the Brent Bible! Today started with a quick 2 mile run with some of the guys. Good way to start the morning. We ran to a nearby park and did some laps. Here’s us post run:

 

After the run, we came back, got some quick breakfast, and went to class. Nothing crazy today, just some review to get the ball rolling and then got introduced to our energy systems class. Next, we came back to our hostel, dropped our stuff off, and got some lunch. We went to Empanada Bar, which was right up the street. Got some good empanadas and some Brazilian beer. After that, our lunch group went for a little exploration around the neighborhood. The neighborhoods are very diverse and very colorful. There is a lot of street art. From there, we made a pit stop back at the hostel, and the headed back to the classroom to learn a little about Brazilian history and culture which was interesting. Then we went on a quest to find a soccer ball. We were unsuccessful but stumbled on a park with some sweet views called Praça Coronel Custodio Fernandes Pinheiro. Check out the view below:

After that, we walked back to the hostel. On the way, I stepped in pile of dog poop. I just cleaned off my shoes, and now we are hanging out and getting ready for a barbeque provided by the hostel and then maybe some bar action. Hang tight for another post around this time tomorrow!
