Welcome back to the Brent Bible! Yesterday was Morgan’s birthday! We began our day with a late morning before deciding to Uber to the Soccer Museum. Unfortunately, it was very very crowded, and we did not want to wait in line all day, so we pivoted to go back to Ibirapuera Park.

It was a beautiful day outside and some of the other guys and I got into some soccer. Shirts off, shoes off, socks off, it was a great vibe and it was awesome to get some grounding in. After soccer, we walked around, got some food from the snack bar for a smaller lunch, did some pull-ups on a bar, and then reconvened with some of the others to get on some bikes. I miss riding my bike back home and have not had the chance to do so since last summer. We rode around the park for about 45 minutes before returning the bikes and heading back to our hostel during sunset.

When we got back, I took a shower and headed downstairs to buzz through the homework that was due last night. We then had some cake for Morgan’s birthday, which was awesome, before heading out to a Mexican spot for dinner. The Mexican spot was very unique – I had a great meal, but Alek got raw chicken. He was very distraught. Thankfully, we did not get charged for the raw chicken burrito, and Morgan had a good birthday dinner. Right after dinner, we headed to a nearby bar with a big screen to have some drinks for Morgan’s birthday and watch the Copa final between Argentina and Columbia. I had some Black Label, which was just an okay whiskey. We stayed for the whole game, which went into extra minutes. Argentina scored and ended up winning! After that, it was about 1:00, so we headed back to the hostel for some much-needed sleep.
